Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers

Porcelain veneers are thin, semi-translucent laminates permanently bonded to your teeth.

They’re the most aesthetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions involving the front teeth.

While they’re not suitable for every patient, porcelain veneers can offer beautiful cosmetic restorations for:

  • Diastemas (spaces between teeth)
  • Broken or chipped teeth
  • Unsightly, stained, or washed out fillings
  • Permanently stained or discolored teeth that cannot be bleached
  • Crooked teeth

Dr. Oliviero can change the size, shape, and color of your teeth with porcelain veneers. The procedure requires a small amount of tooth structure to be removed to ensure the veneers lie flat and look completely natural. Porcelain veneers are a more conservative cosmetic solution than crowns and they’re more durable than bonding.

Like porcelain veneers, Lumineers are thin sheaths of porcelain that are bonded to the front of the teeth. Because Lumineers are no-prep, they can be easily removed in the future if you decide you’d like to return to your original smile. Lumineers are only for special cases, and Dr. Oliviero will carefully examine your mouth, teeth, and facial features to determine which option is right for you.
